英语电影观后感 篇一

While the Titanic is also called "The Ship of Dreamers", in this film, when it bearing in with the ocean in the darkness, the mysterious ocean represents the unknown nature and the ship itself represents the advanced material capabilities people owned.

In a shot that Mr Bruce explains his design of the Titanic, he said "the ship possesses huge size, stability, luxury, and strength", and that" the supremacy will never be challenged"。

In fact, all these words can be thought of the symbols of the Capitalism of that time in many people”s eyes. They thought the Capitalism is just like the Titanic, which should be "unsinkable"。

The wonderful way of developing economy would stay in good condition eternally.

However, things do not always follow the way people wish to be. The economic recession suddenly attacked the Capitalism countries at the end of the 19th Century. It was not until then that people did not realize the impracticality of their idealized "unsinkable" Capitalism.

Capitalism will sink. And unfortunately it did sink. Just like the movie shows, when the ship broke into two parts and began to sink quicker and quicker, everybody knows the ship is going to sink, the priest kept reiterating to the disciples," the former would has passed away."

As to the human nature uncovered in this film, can be thought of from both negative and positive aspects. I will first elucidate some gloomy characteristics revealed by the film. The first impressive characteristic may be that the fianc.

英语电影英文观后感 篇四

The crown jewel of 1995's summer blockbusters appears to have arrived early. It's hard to imagine any motion picture released between now and August matching Mel Gibson's Braveheart for spectacle. With its clashing armies, heartstopping action, and grand sense of romance, this is the sort of film it's a pleasure to see and review.

Let me state my preferences up front. I'm a big fan of the epic adventure,a category in which Braveheart, like cream, rises to the top. There's a lot in this film that's praiseworthy -- not the least of which is its ambition. Those viewing this picture may be easily reminded of Gettysburg,The Last of the Mohicans,Glory, and such classics as Lawrence of Arabia,El Cid,and Spartacus. The grandeur is certainly present;nevertheless,Gibson gives us not only memorable battles, but characters of real substance.

Borrowing from masters like Sam Peckinpah and David Lean, the actor/director has crafted an exceptional cinematic tapestry in only his sophomore effort. Most of the time, three hour movies have a few flat spots, but Braveheart is constantly on the move -- riveting from start to finish. When the end credits began to roll,I was hard pressed to accept that nearly 170 minutes had elapsed.

The title character is William Wallace (Gibson),a hero of Scottish history whose legend has surely outstripped fact (in its own unique way,the film acknowledges this). Wallace fought for Scotland's freedom in the late 13th century, wielding his broadsword and influence to defeat the forces of King Edward I (Patrick McGoohan),the British monarch who had declared himself king of Scotland upon the former ruler's demise.

Braveheart builds slowly to its first gritty climax. Much of the early film concentrates on Wallace's love for Murron (Catherine McCormack). Their courtship is unhurried, yet this is all preparation. The real meat of the story, which includes political mechanations, betrayal, and dramatic battles,is yet to come. Patrick Henry once said,"Give me liberty,or give me death!" That might well be Wallace's motto. "It's all for nothing if you don't have freedom!" The nobles of Scotland fight for land and riches, but Wallace stands for the individual, and earns respect with words and deeds.

Bulked up and wearing a long-haired wig,Gibson brings his usual wealth of charisma to the title role. Patrick McGoohan, best known from TV's Secret Agent Man and The Prisoner,is almost unrecognizable beneath a snowy beard. His Edward the Longshanks exudes an aura of cold menace. He's a worthy foe for Wallace because his intelligence matches his ruthlessness. Sophie Marceau, the French actress who plays Princess Isabelle, and Catherine McCormack are both immensely appealing.

Braveheart is a brutal, bloody motion picture, but the violence is not gratuitous. The maimings, decapitations, and other assorted gruesome deta ils make Wallace's world seem real and immediate. In addition, few theatrical moments make a more eloquent statement against war than when Gibson shows women and children weeping over the dead on a body-littered battlefield. War is a two-headed beast, and both faces -- the glorious and the tragic -- are depicted.

Lately, certain films have come in pairs: two Robin Hoods, two Columbuses, two Earps, and now two Highlander epics. Rob Roy,the first,is a fine motion picture. Braveheart, however,is better, offering an exhilarating, and occasionally touching, experience that has viewers leaving the theater caught up in an afterglow of wonder. These days, heros like William Wallace are as rare as motion picture displays of this high, uncompromising quality.

After watching the movie Gua Sha which about the differences between American and Chinese culture 。I do more believe that there are a lot of differences among distinct countries ,such as language, the way of expressing love and interacting with other people, interpersonal relationship, family values and so forth.

At the beginning of this movie, when the leading actor Xu Datong wins a prize then he says, he loves America and America is an place fills with opportunities 。However ,misfortune may be an actual blessing, one day, his five-year-old child called Denis gets a fever, Xu Datong's father does not know the introduction of the medicine so he does Gua Sha on his grandson, which leaves red marks on skin and in hospital causes a lawsuit of child abuse. In court, Xu Datong explains clearly about Gua Sha is just a Chinese traditional treatment, while these Americans does not know this kind of confronting many distorted allegations, he loses his temple. As a result, he is deprived of Denis’s custody. He is forbidden to meet Denis.

Because of cultural differences. Xu Datong's father returns to China. For Denis’s custody , Xu Datong resigns his job,he loses his peaceful family. It reflects the cultural shock in foreign country. Finally the couple overcome the obstacles through their efforts.

It also should be reminded that the scene:when the hero Xu Datong explains to his son he beats his son for love, and his son does what his father dose to his friends and talks with his father he loves his friend.Yes,we Chinese do believe it 。But American may not understand it as we do not know why they emphasize so much on privacy.Maybe as the scene Xu Datong explains he beats his son for showing face to his superior who does not understand the the way of expressing love and interacting with other people and interpersonal relationship. So do we.

To conclude,it is no need to worry the cultural differences and cultural shock as long as we deal with it appropriately.Although there are some difficulties, we should remember that doing as the Romans do and many things will be easy.

"Seeing my comrades-in-arms, walking on a journey, silent tears, camel bells ringing in my ears 。.。" Looking at Assembly, I unconsciously remembered this song "Camel Bell"。

"Beeping 。.。" The film was kicked off by a gun shot. The 9 th Company of the 139 th Regiment of the Second Division of the Central Plains Field Army successfully defeated the enemy, but the instructor was killed by the enemy. The company commander Gu Zidi ignored the consequences of violating military discipline and ordered his men to shoot the captive leader. After that, Gu Zidi was severely disciplined.

Gu Zidi, the company commander, killed the captives in spite of punishment for the sake of his comrades-in-arms friendship. He would rather be severely punished for the sake of his dead brother, which deeply touched me.

The second war of resistance began. Before the enemys first attack, the soldiers nervously prepared sacks, explosive packs and other items. Suddenly, the enemy unexpectedly gave the soldiers a hateful artillery shell, and then attacked crazily. After repelling the enemys first attack, the two soldiers saw that the company commanders watch was broken, and risked their lives to enter the enemys corpse to find the watch for the company commander.《www.kaoyantv.com》 At the moment of obtaining the watch, a bullet penetrated a soldiers chest. Although the soldier was dying, he still moved his body step by step to get the watch that had been left on the ground with the expectant eyes. When the watch was finally in hand, the soldier closed his eyes with confidence.

Beautiful artwork, wonderful voices for the animated characters by David Bowie, Madonna, Jimmy Fallon, Robert DeNiro, and Ron Crawford. Great to see an imaginative, kind child as hero, and see Mia Farrow act again. Arthur uses his love for his grandparents and his intelligence to persevere and save the day. (A treat for artists in the audience is grandpa's personal journal of watercolors and sketches at the beginning of the movie)。

The action really takes off once the movie transitions to animation, and perhaps moves too fast, although the children with me were able to follow it. The animated characters are adorable and even though they are very contemporary, and the movie takes place during the depression, kids will be able to relate to the animated fantasy characters - since they are fantasy characters, there is no reason they can't be contemporary. Overall a nice story for kids, with some good lessons for kids re: love, loyalty, perseverance, intelligence.

英文电影观后感 篇八

The Olympic Games, which originated in ancient Greece, is the most distinguished sporting event in the world. Once every four years, the utmost athletes from all around are lured to gather together and spare no efforts to pete against each other and try to win a medal for the country that they represent. Frankly speaking, that was virtually all I knew about the world-famous Olympic Games before I had read a book entitled The Olympics published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. However, I found even more philosophy beyond just winning medals from reading the book, which was beyond my imagination and considerably inspiring.

Someone once said, “Were everybody on earth involved in some kind of sport, our world would be free of war for long.” Starting from three thousand years ago, the ancient Olympic Games has long been an event not only for petition but also for peace. In ancient times, no war was allowed between the cities during the Games, which was rather surprising to me since I could hardly imagine warriors actally putting down their weapons and give a break for peace. The precious tradition of peace continued: I would never fail to recall the scene of the opening ceremonies when North and South Korean athletes entering the stadium with their hands held together. The two neighboring countries that used to be enemies are no longer enemies during the Games. Instead they became friends. Speaking of the XX Athens Olympics, perhaps most people would have the same opinion that the most noable part of the opening ceremony arrived when Iraqi and Afghan representatives showed up. These two unfortunate nations, the people of which have undergone innumerable wars, are ing back again to take their own responsibility in world sports after recent invasions by America. The fearless people of Iraq and Afghanistan are once more sharing the spirit of the Games with people from the rest of the world.

There is another story in this book that makes me deep in thoughts. There is no doubt that the most unusual Olympic Games ever in history is the 1936 Olympics held in Germany, which was then ruled by the Nazi Party. Led by Adolf Hitler, the Nazi believed that the so-called Aryan people were superior to all others in all aspects. They looked down upon Jews and blacks, the latter of which was a major constitution of the United States Olympic team. Despite the barrier that faced him, the African American Jesse Owens, who was a most outstanding runner and jumper, did all that he could and finally won gold medals for his country and went home a hero. This reveals another fact that no power on earth is able to hinder the sacred Olympic Games. For all participants, no matter what their gender, race, nationalities and backgrounds are, equality is distributed among every one who observes the Game’s rules.

At the XX Athens Olympics, our Chinese team did extraordinarily well. We ranked second on the medal lists for the first time in history. In my opinion, however, we should not only concentrate on the figure of medals; instead the strength and perseverance of those who failed to get any medals ought to be highly cherished. Whether ever success or failure, whether ever cheer or tear, whether ever medal or not, the never-gave-up spirits of athletes are always motivating us. I believe in the year 2008, the world will focus all their attention to Beijing, China, where the glory of the Games will continue to thrive forever!
