社会主义民主是多数人的民主，是迄今为止人类历史上最高形态的民主，它和资本主义民主的最大不同在于“人民”的构成不同，人民群众翻身做了主人。资本主义乃至以前的所有民主制度，只是在“少数服从多数”的政治程序上被称作民主制度的，在_性质上则只是其统治阶级内部的民主，少数剥削者的民主。社会主义民主，政治程序和_性质相一致，经济基础和上层建筑相协调，是真实、彻底为劳动人民所享有的民主。它是马克思主义吸收和改造了人类争取民主自由斗争中一切有价值的东西。在人类历史的长河中，争取民主自由人权的斗争 经历着不同内容的发展阶段，雅典奴隶主民主、佛罗伦萨城市贵族民主、法国资产阶级民主、巴黎公社无产阶级民主等，是这一漫长征途上的丰碑。
可以说，民主制度是好制度，因为它使得政治生活有了更多的开放性，它不仅缩小了特权阶级独霸政治权力的可能性，也制约了政治权力被任何人滥用的可能性。但是理论上良好的制度可能不是现实的制度，因为理论上良好的制度如果没有现实且稳定的社会支持率即合法性基础，是不可能变成现实的制度的。对于民主也是如此。从理论上来看，以自由为导向的法治民主制度可能是最稳健的民主制度，但是它要成为现实的制度，必需有适当的社会基础，如果没有适当的社会基础，即使勉强实行了民主制度，它也无法持久，这是每一次民主浪潮出现回流的重要原因，也是每一次民主化之后军事_接踵而来的重要原因。而所有重要条件里面，最重要的社会基础就是庞大且稳定的中产阶级基础。社会主义民主制度的确立是两千多年来人类民主建设合乎规律的发展。创造历史，推动历史前进的亿万人民群众一旦拥有民主权利，就会更加有力地改变自己的命运，享受前所未有的民主、自由和人权。历史正是这样轰轰烈烈地写下了社会主义民主新篇章。
但是，这只是一个开端，未来的路更长。马克思所描绘的未来社会全面发展的真正“自由的人”、“丰富的人”的状况，是建立在生产力高度发展，社会组织高度完善，彻底消灭了阶级差别，人的素质得到极大的提高和全面发展的基础上的人，是我们通向民主自由人权之路的最高理想。

我们宿舍里每个晚上都有蟑螂、飞虫之类小虫子飞进来，我们都又怕又不知怎么办，只好呆呆地坐着。幸好宿舍里有两个高二的`姐姐保护我们，否则我们不知该如何是好。晚上虽然有点热，但是感觉很新鲜，很快便入睡。
我们在这里天天都要上课。从宿舍走到教学楼需要一个钟头。而我们每天要走3个来回，所以想减肥的人来参加这个夏令营一定能减肥成功!我们上课是外教和一个助教上的。上课的形式很灵活，一会儿玩游戏，一会儿单词接龙，一会儿听老师讲故事。我们上课也很随便，外教不会要你坐得整整齐齐，我们喜欢干嘛就干嘛，可以到处乱走，可以下位同其他同学进行英语交流。因为外教喜欢自由，所以也让我们自由。
在这里，我认识了许许多多的朋友,同她们在生活上互帮互助，一起学习，一起聊天。每当我无聊时，她们便会讲笑话给我听;每当我作业不会做时，她们便会一题一题地讲解给我听，直到我会为止;每当我生活上遇到困难时，她们会尽自己最大的力量帮助我;每当我伤心时，她们会安慰我;同她们在一起，我觉得时间过得飞快，觉得十分开心!
在这里十分辛苦，要自己洗衣服、晾衣服，还有许许多多的事情需要自己做主。晚上，洗完澡后，便要自己将衣服洗干净。洗衣服非常辛苦，有时怎么搓都搓不干净，直到搓得双手红通通的，才搓干净一小部分。好不容易搓干净了，接下来是扭干衣服。衣服很重，我费了很大的劲才扭干，此时我已经累得气喘吁吁了。但是还要将衣服晾上去，晾衣服的那根竹竿太高了，我又太矮了。所以我只好请宿舍里的两个高二的姐姐帮忙。
