"The call of the wild" the protagonist is a dog named buck. It had no worries of life in America south, was a family servant secretly sold to Alaska as a sled dog, after witnessing a sight, it begins to follow the "stick" and "teeth" principle, and gradually become a good sled dog. Later, he met a man named Thornton it really like. They go to the eastern treasure hunt, Thornton was killed by indians. In revenge for Thornton, Buck returned to nature.
The story of Buck's image is a symbol of a strong survival wisdom, strong will, tenacious survival strength and agility in the harsh living environment. It came to control the new environment after is not willing to suffer other strong, but efforts to adapt to, continue to struggle, become a new strong, reflects the "survival of the fittest" this rule. Although it is a dog, but if for the rest of us, may not be able to survive in such cruel environment down there, are less likely to become strong. So, in reality we should like buck as tenacious, unyielding, don't give up hope, after all, in the future society, we may also experience changes in frustration, turn the world upside down, and if we can have the buck that spirit, it may lead us to success.
Now, if we encounter a little frustration was down, so is also not a dog, nor as large in the future.
My Call of the Wild - Enlightenment of The Call of the Wild " He sings a song of the younger world, which is the song of the pack." (Chapter VII The Sounding of the Wild) When the last sentence vanished from my eyes, I can still perceive an echo of a song - a wild song, which knocks up my dizzy mind that always cheerfully sink into the so-called civilized world without questioning. Wild, is no longer a symbol of the law of jungle but a headspring where streams out love, passion, bravery, loyalty, friendship, venture, petition and tolerance all these virtues can easily be found in the Call of the Wild. Jack London (1876-1916) is a worldwide renowned novelist. His stories successfully reflect the contradictory views of man’s nature and destiny in and against the wild, and his "fight to survive" notion has gained him and his works timeless popularity, particularly, the Call of the Wild It tells a story of a gigantic dog, named Buck, who is stolen from a rich and fortable home and forced
to learn to survive as an Alaskan sled dog. Buck, at first, is too savage for the pany of man until he coincidently encounters his beloved master-kindhearted John Thornton. Finally, John’s incidental death breaks Buck’s last tie to the man and drives him into his long-desired wild with his pack. In the story, Buck and John simply adopt themselves to answer the call of the wild.
When it es to Buck’s mind that one day he will eventually leave John- his master, all he wants to do is just to help him finish the gold-rush-trip. He " from then on, night and day, never put a halt, in desperation, he burst into long stretch of flight, did not to stay him (John)" (Chapter VII The Sounding of The Wild) Buck wished to remember John’s image forever, he "for two days and nights never left camp, never let Thornton out of his sight. He followed him about at his work, watched him while saw him into blankets at night and out of them in the morning…" (Chapter VII) When I read these words I just could not hold my tears bursting. Can a real man devote himself to loyalty and friendship in such a way? On the other hand, John Thornton is not only a dog-lover but also a brave and venturous man. He is so straightforward and simple that makes him an acmodating man. Once he firmly roots a goal into his heart, it seems that nothing could prevent him from acplishing it except death.
I do not know whether the persistence is the most vital element to make a man successful, but what I know is that you are not far away from success once you occupy it. It is Jack London who plunges me into the animated wild from the hustle-and-bustle and from desperate city. There, I merely cannot deny the attraction of Buck’s bark, which enlightens me to pursue another lost half of the nature in mankind, and to dig out a true meaning of life. Dare we imagine that London intentionally employs Buck to set us a model with perfect characters (count barbarity out)? The answer is affirmed. We, as animals, are from the wild but shedding off more and more wild signs, which demonstrate us as the "uncivilized"。 However, who can fully guarantee that we have not overlooked some essential wild-endowed virtues?
Especially, nowadays, it seems more crucial for us to stop looking at the post-industrialized world and to ponder for a while. When cheats, betrayals, lies, lusts and crimes stuff a materialized society, whether London uses this novel to help himself escape the reality or warn the earthy people, to us, modern man, is all the same. It appears horrible that in modern society many people are enthusiastically talking about how to build up "special relations" to the authority, deceiving and lying to each other. To them life is a mask-wearing process rather than a hard work. Every time, you browse WebPages, scandals in politics, business, the entertainment circle and even on campus crowd into your eyes. Oh, what is the essence of human beings? What is the civilization to us? Do we need to look back at where we came from? Is it good or bad for us to speak out what we think and to do what the consciences demand us to? Are we wasting talents given by the mighty nature? Be an honest, straightforward, w
armhearted, emotional and responsible man or be a shrewd, cold hearted and astute hypocrite?
While embracing the "civilized" rubbish, we are losing those good virtues, which are the calls of the wild. Once we lose them, we are to lose ourselves, and we will get nowhere. I wish this dreadful thought is totally a fallacy, but, now, it is chilling me hard. One day when I happen to stand on the top of a grand mountain to observe a boundless prairie enveloped by the sapphire firmament and bed by gusts of the rhythmical west wind, a morning sun sprinkles me her warmth and brilliance in a graceful way, however, at that moment, I am afraid that I cannot appreciate these beauties, I am a lost " civilized man" then. Please, please do not let e true while we are still able to answer the call of the wild.

The Call of the Wild is an outstanding representative of Jack London's novelettes. This novel tells the story of a southern dog named Buck.Buck was Judge Miller's dog.Under the influence of the Alaskan gold rush at that time,Buck was smuggled out by gardeners and embarked on a hard gold rush.During this period,it degenerated into barbarism bit by bit,and defeated one opponent after another, becoming the leader of the team.Later,Buck's owners changed one by one,and his companions were exhausted and toiled harder and harder until they finally met Thornton and did a good deed with Thornton. In the process of gold mining with Thornton,Thornton was killed, and Buck finally returned to the wild and nature.
After reading this novel, what haunts my mind is the long moving. For Buck, for Dave, for every master of Buck, for calling Buck's wildness from time to time.
Buck's misfortune began when he was tied up with ropes by Manuel, the gardener.Bad luck, but good luck.Because of this,it is possible to return to the wild.Later,he realized that the stick was a revelation,an introductory course for him to enter the world of primitive law.The cruel reality of life shows its more ferocious side. When it bravely faces the ferocious face of reality, all the cunning hidden in its nature are awakened. In this way,Buck was suddenly pushed out of the civilized paradise and thrown into the original center.
Buck's wildness was awakened naked in the cruel killings in the snow and ice.Under the rule of "stick and fangs",Buck learned the original cunning characteristics.Buck was destined to be a leader, from the leader of the team dog to the leader of the wolves, and he did well. From tame dogs to wolves,it is humans who awaken them.
Jack London deeply exposed the ruthlessness, cruelty and coldness of nature with his wonderful pen.Buck was awakened by the wild. What woke us?
When I first opened Jack, holiday reading impression (three) "the call of the wild"。 Londons magnum opus, "The Call of the Wild," touched me deeply with that bleak and philosophical poem: "The chains of custom do not bind the ancient longing of the nomadic to leap; The cold wind blows and slumbers, and the wild will awaken the mournful verse."
Perhaps like the author Jack. There is in all things, as London said, an ancient instinct -- savagery, which brings savagery, and the desire to conquer. Buck, the hero of "Call of the Wild", was shocked when he set foot on the land of Alaska: in this unforgiving world, giving friendship is equal to giving life, and to survive only forward, forward, forward, there is no retreat possible. All the cruelties are awakening its ancient savagery, all the facts are telling it that there are only the conqueror and the conquered in this society. The unyielding and fighting spirit that comes from deep in nature is awakened, because it knows that all this embodies the value of life. Yes, the call of the wild in civilized society has never stopped? The fierce competition caused people can not have the slightest hesitation, victory and defeat in that moment of time, only brave to meet the opponent, and finally conquer.。. Perhaps this is life and the meaning of life.
However, with savagery comes the ancient friendship -- the friendship of innocence and loyalty, which is the crystallization of civilization and antiquity. When Bucks master died, he looked up at the sky and gave a long cry. The snarl was sad, the snarl was loyal, the snarl was thrilling, and the snarl contained the depth of Bucks love for his master, a love that was wild friendship.
Life is contradictory, the world is complicated, it has treachery, there is loyalty; It has civilisation and savagery. However, this is the real life, life is therefore colorful, and therefore brilliant, and therefore endless.。.
After reading the "call of the wild", cover volume and rest, unconsciously is already feel tears.

These days I read a novella called the call of the wild written by Jack London,an American writer. The author vividly describes the tortuous experience of a dog named Buck by means of personification.
The story mainly narrates the process of Buck, the "master",returning to the primitive life of wolves from the civilized human society.Buck, who had lived in a greenhouse since childhood, was abducted and sold to the original wilderness as a sled dog.The cruel reality touched Buck's instinct and consciousness of returning to nature due to the long-term influence of human civilization. The bad living environment tempered Buck, and he continued to grow through experience. Finally,he won the first place among the sled dogs by defeating Spitz, the dog king. When the cruel Hal beat Buck black and blue and dying,John Thornton's rescue made Buck feel warm and decided to devote himself to his benefactor, but the death of the benefactor completely broke Buck's nostalgia for human society, thus impelling Buck to firm determination, resolutely go to the wilderness and return to nature.
I like the dog named Buck described by the author. He never bows his head in a difficult situation and never gives up in a desperate situation. This spirit of perseverance and courage is worth learning. When we encounter difficulties in our study,we should not give up,but work hard to overcome them. When we encounter setbacks in life,we should persevere and forge ahead to create a better future for ourselves.
